О нас	We are looking for writing with a strong, clear voice by authors who are daring, original and unafraid to take risks.

Миссия	The Penguin Random House Creative Writing Awards recognizes the unique vision and voices of New York City high school seniors with scholarship awards. The Competition further supports student writers throughout the writing process with in-school programs and teacher training.

Награды	1st Place $10,000 – Four Scholarship Awards Four entries chosen citywide: poetry/spoken word, fiction/ drama, personal essay/memoir and graphic novel. 2nd Place $5,000 – Four Scholarship Awards Four entries chosen citywide: poetry/spoken word, fiction/ drama, personal essay/memoir and graphic novel. 3rd Place $2,500 – Four Scholarship Awards Four entries chosen citywide: poetry/spoken word, fiction/ drama, personal essay/memoir and graphic novel. Best Of Borough $1,000 – Twenty Scholarship Awards One entry chosen per category from each borough: poetry/spoken word, fiction/drama, personal essay/memoir and graphic novel. Artist Recognition Awards $500 Fifteen Scholarship Awards Three entries chosen from each borough from any of the categories. Honorable Mention Awards – Seventy-Five Creativity Kits Three entries chosen per category from each borough: Students will receive inspirational gifts from Penguin Random House. Scholarship awards will be made by Penguin Random House to your choice of post-secondary educational institution. All awards will be paid during the year of 2014 and cannot be deferred beyond one year. If the winning entry in the graphic novel category has been submitted by a team, the scholarship award will be divided equally among the team members.
